The Toulouse player is in the form of his life at the moment and is looking to continue his fine run of form as Les Pitchouns prepare to take on Valenciennes
The 22-year-old has scored five goals this season and his goalscoring form has helped Le TFC to 12 points in the league.
Les Pitchouns’ Wissam Ben Yedder has expressed delight at his goal scoring form and hopes to continue playing like that in the upcoming games.
While talking to reporters, the Frenchman revealed that he never thought he would be playing as a striker this season.
Yedder said that he thought he would be playing in the midfield this season but the coach decided to put him in attack. And the player is looking to repay the faith shown in him by scoring as many goals as possible this season.
“This season, I thought I would be playing in midfield but the coach has put me in attack. I am expected to be a goal-scorer, so I have to score in each game,” the 22-year-old told reporters.
The former UJA Alfortville player said that the he is pleased with his goalscoring form and luck is with him at the moment. Galtier has tried something new by putting him in the attack and the decision has paid off.
"I am in a good run and that makes me happy. I am confident, I am trying lots of things and they are coming more naturally.”
Yedder added that he never imagined scoring five goals in just seven games and it is just amazing. The Frenchman said that he is pleased with his performance in the season so far and hopes to continue playing like this in the upcoming games.
"It's good to have scored five goals already; I never thought I would be second behind Ibrahimovic by the seventh game. For now, it makes me smile and I will try to carry that on."
Toulouse are set to travel to Stade http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Du-c11689 Hainaut, to take on 8th placed Valenciennes in their next game of the 2012/2013 Ligue 1 campaign. And the visitors are strong favourites to win on Saturday.
