The Thai PGA Tour event of Singha Park Khon Kaen Championship is in its final stage. Three rounds of the championship have been completed. There was some exciting golf to be seen on the third day, as once
again the leader board changed. Wisut Artjanawat played in great style and emerged as the leader.
Artjanawat leads the four day championship by just one stroke over his nearest competitor. The youngster carded a brilliant round of six-under par, 66 on the third day. This was a good comeback by him,
as he did not play well during the second day. He moved one place up on the leader board. This was also the lowest round of the third round.
Artjanawat did not start his third day in a positive style. On the very first hole, he looked a bit under pressure and made a bogey start. From thereon, he never was wayward during his round. He had a
total of five birdies followed by an eagle. His eagle came on the long par-5, 3rd where his third shot directly landed in the hole. This was a great boost for the player who did not wary of the field around him.
The young Wisut has a three day aggregate score of 12-under par, 204. He has been playing well during all the three days as his score clearly shows that. The youngster will be hoping to cope up with pressure
on final day to emerge victorious. This victory will be a good one for him.
Pavit Tangkamolprasert held on to his second spot on the leader board. He is just one behind the youngster. He will be playing alongside Wisut on the final day to battle for the championship trophy.
Pavit did play well during the third round. He managed to show his class and carded a good round of five-under par, 67. His score-card had four birdies, one eagle and a bogey. The drop shot was on the
long par-3, 8th where he sliced his tee shot and ended in bunker. A superb eagle came on the par-5, 11th where he took full advantage of his long drive. Pavit hit a great shot on the par-5, which landed within a few feet from the hole.
The Thai Pavit now has a three day score of eleven-under par, 205. He is just one shot behind the leader and will surely be a great threat for winning the championship.
Two players occupy the third slot. Jakkapong Juntavara and overnight leader Somchai Pongpaew have a three round score of nine-under par, 207. They are three shots behind the leader.
Juntavara was simply superb on the third day. From the start, he looked in good shape of carding an under par round. He posted a great score of six-under par, 66 which matched the lowest score of the day.
The score-card of Juntavara showed two bogeys, six birdies and a lone eagle. This was a good score by the Thai as he jumped a few spots on the leader board.
The fourth and final round of the championship will commence today. All these players in contention will hope to take charge on the leader board to emerge victorious.
