  1. I'm in agreement with Sheraton on the Falls. Stayed there, beautiful hotel. As for something exciting to do....Whirlpool Jetboats!! A nice drive down to Niagara on the Lake, and then an awesome jetboat ride up the river. Class 4 rapids. All very safe. I used to live in Niagara Falls and my friends and I would do this trip twice a year. It's wild and addictive. Have a great vacation!

  2. I love Embassy suites. The view is spectacular, it is kind of in the middle of the two falls. Can't beat a jacuzzi suite! The Clifton hill area is fun for a few hours, but it is tacky and expensive. The casino is great, Maid of the mist and Journey behind the falls are my fave tourist attractions. Niagara on the lake is beautiful, if you are a wine lover there are many many wineries in the area and great restaurants. If you love nature and history there are a number of great trails and walks(battle of 1912 grounds) Have a great time, we go back every year.

  3. The hotel with the *best* view of both falls is the Sheraton on the Falls, located on Falls Ave.  It is an older hotel, but the rooms are recently updated and it is absolutely beautiful.  It has the closest, most direct view of the American Falls, and an unobstructed view of the Canadian (Horseshoe) Falls.  It's located just off Clifton Hill, so you can walk to all of the major attractions in that area.  Just make sure that when you book, you reserve a "Fallsview" type room, as opposed to "Cityview" or "Standard", the rates are higher but *well* worth a magnificent view.

There are some *beautiful* hotels located on Fallsview Blvd. (Marriott, Embassy Suites, Sheraton Fallsview), but these are closer to the Canadian "Horseshoe" Falls.  If you want the best, closest view of the *American Falls*, then definitely go with the Sheraton *on the* Falls (not to be confused with the Sheraton Fallsview).

Depending on what you're looking for, there's lots of great things to see and do:

-Sky Wheel (huge ferris wheel with amazing views, right on Clifton Hill)

-Museums (wax museum, Ripleys, Guinness are my favourites)

-Haunted Houses (*so* many to choose from... Nightmares is probably the best)

-Maid of the Mist, Journey Behind the Falls

    -Butterfly Conservatory, Bird Aviary

-Fallsview Casino (great gaming floor, nice dining, pretty good entertainment)

-Visit Niagara on the Lake for shopping, great dining, and winery visits/tastings!

    Have a great trip :D

  4. I live right beside Niagara Falls so i can provide you with pretty much any info you need. The top Hotel's with the ultimate view's are the Sheraton Fallsview, Marriot Fallsview,Embassy Suites Fallsview and the Konika Minolta Tower. They range from $140 to approx $250 a night depending on what you want. The light's on the Falls get shut off at 12am every night so if you are planning on never leaving the room then money is well spent. If you plan on going out sight seeing and rushing back to the hotel, don't waste your money. Find a modest hotel and walk to the Falls and enjoy it that way. The water is thunderous and need's to be seen up close, even at night with the light's. If you want want some freebee thing's to do, go to the Botanical Gardens ,Niagara Glen, Floral Clock or look for the Screaming Tunnel, If you can find it. Scary history there and well worth seeing!!!! And firework's  every Friday and Sunday at dusk by the Falls. Get there early. Also, inside the Imax theatre located on Fallsview Ave is a free Daredevil Musem. Lot's of history there. If you want something really exciting to try, do the Niagara Jetboats. Well worth the money. About  $60 for a 45 minute cruise up the Niagara River over 60 mph. You can get the domed boat so you stay dry or the open canopy end get totally soaked. Total rush!!!!I  I did the dome. Be sure to look into the Great Gorge Adventure Pass and the Clifton Hill Fun Pass. Save yourself a lot of money on attraction's. Hope this help's you out. Have a good trip and good luck. One last thing, avoid any restaurant's on |Clifton Hill, near or around the Falls. Total tourist rip off. Head out to the Flying Saucer Diner. Cheap rates and huge portions of food, and good food at that!!!. And it looks like a UFO. Fun dining experience. 99cent breakfasts too. Hahha. Before 10 am.Find also my website of my Niagara pics in case there is anything want to see. Again. have a good trip to Niagara.http://www.webshots.com/search?media=alb...
