  1. "macs are beter with media but pcs are better with games. there are many pros and cons to both. "

I agree with that with one exception: Idiot media companies that use windows proprietary DRM, like Netflix Watch-It-Now. I have to boot my Mac into windows to use Watch-It-Now.

But even with that, I'd give the edge to Apple. They basically started the computers-for-entertainment revolution.

  2. mac can run windows these days just as wel as pc's run pc games etc the works

    make your own mind up

  3. MAC might have the slight edge with what your trying to do. But, don't overlook a PC running Vista or XP. If you want or need to run "third party" software to do your tasks, a PC will out do a MAC in that department.

  4. macs are beter with media but pcs are better with games. there are many pros and cons to both.

  5. I think Macs are better for music, videos, photos, and all that. Apple has a software suite called iLife which contains iTunes, iMovie, iPhoto, GarageBand, and iDVD.

I think almost everyone in today's world has heard of iTunes, you can play and buy music and sync your iPod.

iMovie is a great piece of software for making professional-quality movies that is very easy to use. I heard their new version of this wasn't all that great, but Apple offers the previous version as a free download for all owners of the '08 version.

iPhoto stores and organizes your photos, and lets you do some editing (cropping, retouch, resize, brightness/contrast, color filters, etc.)

GarageBand allows you to make your own songs using your own recordings, or a ton of pre-recorded loops. It's a lot of fun to play with on a rainy day.

iDVD allows you to born DVDs, this can be done straight from iMovie.

iLife comes pre-installed on every new Mac.

I don't know much about media stuff on PCs.

The only disadvantage I see in Macs is the price tag. Those shiny white cases are made of ivory and rainbows, ya know :]
