  1. soil

  2. Plants need all of these things. Remove even one and plants would not survive.

  3. air or to be specific carbon dioxide..

  4. Sunlight .. It causes photosynthesis, which is how the plant feeds itself.

  5. sunlight

  6. There is more to your question than you may have thought!  If you are referring to minerals nutrients, then the soil is the correct answer.  But a film of water must be present for the roots to absorb the water and minerals.  Most of the water is lost as water vapor from the leaves through transpiration but it helps to cool the leaves, concentrate the minerals, and provides hydrogen protons and electrons for photosynthesis.  If you are referring to the total mass of the plant, then most of the plant's mass is derived from the carbon dioxide removed from the air and soil!

Take your pick from the information provided!

  7. sunlight... the sunlight makes every thing else work.....without it nothing works well, How ever all these things are needed to grow plants...............

  8. It's the soil that provides plants with nutrients because it's what's IN the soil that makes the plant grow. The sun and water only play a role in the growing process, the soil gives the plants nutrition that it needs.
