Witch way do you like this poem? Way 1 or way 2?

But i know that we'll never be,

Can I say neither?

I guess I would say 2) but that one does need a bit of work as well. Can you find something other than "baby"? Kind of takes the poetry out of it and makes it sound like a cliche love letter
