  1. My brother practises voodoo and has done a love spell and its made his partner miss him a lot more so your decision lol x

  2. You become a witch by studying and practicing witchcraft - not just spells but how and why they work or don't work.  We create our own spells so they are tailor made with our own intent.  VooDoo works much the same as witchcraft and any other religious practice.  Most Witches (especially Wiccan Witches) do not waste their time "cursing" other people. We have better things to do with our time.  There is no such thing as worshiping paganism.  Paganism is a term that encompasses all non-Abrahamic beliefs (Hindu, Buddhism, Shinto, Wicca, etc).   The religion of Wicca does not have any form of the devil/Satan in it although there are many other varieties of witchcraft which may.

  3. If someone wants to be called a witch they could either practice folk magick or become a Wiccan, Pagan, or follow another religion that involves magick in some of its aspects. Spells will work if they are performed correctly. I do not know anything about voodoo, sorry. In Wicca curses are not used as it is against our code, harm none, and the negative energy will be sent back to you thrice as powerful as you sent it out. Some believe that you need to be initiated to become a witch, and others do not it just depends on what you believe. Paganism is a religion. The religion itself is not worshiped the God and Goddess are worshiped, and there is no Satan or "evil" in Paganism or Wicca for that matter. If you'd like more information feel free to email me and I will try to help you out.

  4. Everything involving witches...spells..voo doo...and curses are not real. if they were, this world would b in turmoil. there is no such thing as a ghost...witch...or a demon.

  5. I was very interested in witchcraft when I was young but I never had any luck with spells....well....I did do a man-woman-wax-doll spell to find love (there was a guy I wanted) but I didn't get him, but I did get my now-husband 2 years later and we've been together 10yrs now, so who's to say it didn't work? People want quick-fixes though and expect to see results in a week!

Most of my interest led me to paganism which is condsidered to be the foundation of witchcraft as it is from when people respected nature and were more spiritual. They didn't expect quick-fix results but believed by honouring the Goddess and Mother Earth would create a harmony which would then reflect back to them with goodness.

I expect all the potion and herb usage associated with spells was, in those days, natural medicines.

The demon-aspect was an invention by the Christians in times of old in order to persecute 'witches'. An excuse, if you like, to tell people they were wrong and bad. Perhaps some people, if they believed in demons and the devil, turned to them out of a need for revenge and anger at a time when there was so much violence and lawlessness in the world.

  6. Yes to all your questions but if you are not seriously interested stick with Harry Potter and leave the magick to those who know how to use it.

  7. I prefer spirits of the trees

  8. Wicca

(IPA: /ˈwɪkə/) is a pagan, nature-based religion popularised in 1954 by Gerald Gardner, a retired British civil servant, who at the time called it Witchcraft and its adherents "the Wica".[1] He said that the religion, of which he was an initiate, was a modern survival of an old witchcraft religion which had existed in secret for hundreds of years, originating in the pre-Christian paganism of Europe.[1] The veracity of Gardner's statements cannot be independently proven, however, and it is possible that Wiccan theology began to be compiled no earlier than the 1920s.[2]

Various Wiccan lineages or 'traditions' have since branched out of that popularised by Gardner, which came to be called Gardnerian Wicca. Each lineage has distinctive beliefs, rituals, and practices, and most remain secretive and require that members be initiated. Other traditions have also formed independently of Gardnerian lineage, including a growing movement of Eclectic Wiccans who do not believe that any doctrine or traditional initiation is necessary in order to practice Wicca.[3]

The term 'Wicca' has somewhat different usage between Britain and North America. In Britain 'Wicca' has traditionally referred only to initiatory witchcraft in the lineage of Gerald Gardner and the New Forest coven (e.g. Gardnerian and Alexandrian Wicca), sometimes referred to as British Traditional Wicca in North America. In North America the term 'Wicca' has become more inclusive and encompasses a number of traditions inspired by but independent of that lineage.[4]

  9. All you really have to do to become a witch, is decide to be one. I mean, you do your research first, though. Then usually there is some sort of initiation ritual, which can be done in a group, or solitary. Yes, witches use spells, and yes, they sometimes work. Voodoo, just like spells, sometimes work (Voodoo is actually kind of like a sect of witchcraft, almost). Same with curses, they are real and are a form of spells. Many witches are Pagan, and very very few (like, probably less than 1%) worship satan. You do not need to worship satan in order to be a witch, and as I said, most witches do not.

There are all different sorts of witchcraft (Wicca, Voodoo, etc...), and each has their own different spells, rituals, and guidelines. Some witches consider themselves just to be general pagans. Other witches are Unitarian Universalists, and etc.. etc... Lots of witches combine different traditions of witchcraft in their work, for example, a witch may cast a circle in a Wiccan tradition, but call on a Gree god/goddess for help, etc..., etc...

  10. Unfortunately, most spells don't work. Voo doo works as a coincidence, like when sum one feels pain due to a pulled muscle and you stab their doll there. No one can rly prove that these are real or not, and if they did...why would they tell you on yahoo? a public site....and they would be of a hidden nature to keep away from 'mortals'.  As for how...in many ways. 'Mystical' circles. Dolls. Items in pots. Witches are probably like us though in the worship district. they probably simply worship a Christian, Muslim, Satan, Jewish, or many other beliefs. (Meaning they are probably just like us if they do exist, but are magical.) Most books say they are the devils works, but then again Wickens another form of witches are said to be Angles. Some books say they are dæmons in disguise. None are proven true. So chose the one you think is most likely/most comforting.

Hope this helped. Good luck in your search of knowledge of witches.
