With 5 children, and another addition to her family on the way, can Palin give %100 into her job?

And her baby has special needs... Could she actually give %100? I'm not saying this because she is female. I'd be asking this regardless of the person's gender. 1,2, even 3 kids I could understand. But not ones still in diapers. I've seen plenty of people put in 60 hour weeks and still take great care of their kids. I'm a-o-kay with that. But not when they're given such a high position that our whole nation is affected. This isn't a job you can put %50 into, or even %80. This is too important.

  1. Is it not the very liberals who are asking these questions to ones that made the regulations pushed onto business by the EEOC that prevents me from asking a job applicant who wants to drive a forklift these exact same questions.  I'm not allowed to ask, are you married, or do you have kids, or how can you make it to work if you have children who are sick.  It's against the law to ask these questions.  They are the same as asking questions about race, religon, disability, etc.

Now, I hear ever liberal on the block asking the same questions about a VP choice.  Seems that business is still the golded whipping boy.  And the unions cry because I send my manufacturing overseas now.

  2. Look I am an Obama supporter but I think that that part is not anyone elses business.  In all fairness family events should just be

  3. Absolutely not.

Being a vice president is not a job--it's a life, that defines everything you are and what you do for the next 4-8 years.

And not just any VP--the VP of the most influential country in the world right now, faced with multiple crises.

While I have no doubt that Palin could care for her children, including the newborn with Down's Syndrome and a future grandchild as a governor, she is way in over her head if she thinks it'll be possible to care for her children and her country 100% each.

  4. Why not, she is a smart woman and has a supportive husband. I believe women can actually have a career and be a good mother.

  5. nope. well yeah. the Vp does nothing.

  6. I think Ms Palin has already answered that question by accepting the offer. I have no doubt that she's going to be extremely busy, but she's obviously got the systems in place to take care of it. I mean...she's the governor already, she's obviously a very busy person as it is.

  7. shes pregnant?!?

  8. Hahaha no.

If McCain is elected as president and dies there is no way that Palin will be able to run this country especially since she already has her own family issues.

  9. Palin is a selfish mother ..she will jump on VP job and never look back.

Hey all he do is just agree with MCcain ...

  10. You couldn't tell that she puts work before family?

  11. What job? You mean attending state funerals and showing-up at the Senate a couple times a year?

  12. No, absolutely not!  I think only sterile single people should run for office so that they have no distractions or commitments outside of their public duties.

    Of course she can...

    and so could anyone else.

  13. You must ask how could she do so many great things as a governor while taking good careof  five kids one of then with special needs. Then you'll get an anserw yourself.

  14. Are you saying women shouldn't be in Politics?  Or just have careers?  Why is it that everyone's so anti women can do it all lately?

If it was Michelle none of this would come up.  Also, after you have three kids it's about the same.  I have three and it's easier than having one.  The older kids chip in.

  15. I am sorry, but I don't buy that you would ask that question of a man. I just don't believe that statement.

  16. I'm sure she has a nanny.

  17. Seriously...I think that McCain made a big mistake when he selected Sarah Palin...he really didn't know her that well and all this information about her personal life and family issues is coming out in only three days since his announcement...She couldn't possibly put that much time into her duties as a Veep without her family situation deteriorating...If anything, Sarah Palin has a lot to prove...This is an uphill battle for her.

  18. A women who can raise 5 kids and do all she does could do anything. She is one of those amazing women who can show a lot of men up.

  19. Stifle yourself

  20. Yes,if a man can so can a woman.  Ever hear of hired help.

  21. I dunno , can you, maybe we should write a law that says once a woman has children she can be fired from her job......Is that what you want? HYPOCRITE

  22. umm, YES.

This shows that she is in a normal family...

Her job comes first. Her husband and older daughter do a lot around the house.

  23. You do a grave disservice to women everywhere by asking such a ridiculous question.

Yes, she can do the job. And further, she will do the job with strength.

  24. So it was ok for Biden to be a single father raising his children on his own but it's not ok for Palin??

    Wierd

  25. It IS because she's a woman. I have never seen anyone ask this question about a male VP canidate, or a presidential canidate for that matter.

  26. I guess VP elect Sarah Palin will finally put to rest any notion that a woman can't handle the job of the 2nd highest office in the land.

I say VP on Nov 4th and President by 2016, maybe even 2012 if President McCain don't turn on the juice.

Sarah Palin has not been to shy when it comes to ruffling some feathers within her own party when she see's something shady.

Who were the last dems to challenge their own party.

Oh yeah Zell Miller and Joe Lieberman, a couple of courageous guys.

Maybe there is a place for these guys in President McCain's Cabinate.

At any rate look out Old Boy's Club I think the glass ceiling is about to shatter come Nov 4th.

    Make way for the ladies.

  27. No, she cannot give 100%.  And if she could, I wouldn't want her to.

  28. These are not the reasons why she couldn't. There are many others.

  29. Your question reveals your democrat hypocrisy.

If I interviewed you for a job, and denied you the job based on the reasons you listed above....what would you do?

    Another feminist democrat hippocrite.

  30. Oh please, ! ---Not an issue !!!

Do you think McCain would let her do anything?

Except for the occasional ribbon-cutting ceremony and a few trips abroad.

  31. Not without cheating her children out of what they deserve. With a 4 month old special needs child that should still be bonding with the mother I don't understand how she would even take this position. Maybe if the baby was at least a year old but being a 4 month old I don't get it at all. I think it speaks volumes on her character myself.
