With British and Australian passport...?

I am with both British and Australian passport and now living in the US as a permanent resident. once i apply for citizenship, will it mean i have to give up one of my identity?? or can i keep 3 ?

Is there anyway to do this without losing Autralian or British?, i want to be able to leave the US as i please. how?

  1. You can keep all 3.


  2. You can be a citizen of as many countries as will allow it.  The US,  Britain and Australia allow it.  To be sure, check with the local UK and Australian consulates.

  3. You will be allowed to retain your British and Australian citizenships if you become a US citizen.

    There is no limit to how many citizenships you may have, except where acquiring citizenship within a certain country requires you to renounce any other citizenships you may have. Neither the US, or the UK, or Australia have such a requirement, and despite the fact that the US Oath of Citizenship states that you "absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen," that is not recognized as a formal renunciation by the UK or Australia.

    However if, for example, you were to enlist in the British or Australian army, then you might forfeit your US citizenship that way.
