will another track get one taken away from it or will Bruton just flat out buy another track like pocono and take a race or both race from them, give another race to Vegas and put the other Pocono date to Kentucky speedway? Or better yet what would be your ideas on this issue?

  1. Yes he needs to add another to Vegas.....now, real soon'

  2. Mornin' Dave! I hope he does buy Kentucky and Pocono. Take a race away from Pocono and add that date to Kentucky. Pocono is in desperate need of some major repairs especially the part of the track over the tunnel turn. If you watch it on TV you can see the cars bouncing around and dipping.

I agree that Vegas doesn't need another race. Kentucky would be perfect because it will definitely draw a bigger crowd. Guess it's because there seem to be a lot more NASCAR fans on the east coast. Take into consideration...most of the tracks are in this area anyhow. I'd love to see Kentucky & another race added. Have a great day all! Peace n Smiles  :))

Note: I don't think there is a track anywhere that can compare with Bristol. I don't know what it is...but the people and the area Rocks!! Bristol has some kinda magic to it.

  3. The thought of a second race in Vegas would be a dream come true for me!

That's the perfect solution, Bruton, add another race to Vegas, pleeeeeease!

*woke up this morning thinking, I hope I didn't sound like a real idiot answering this question where it was so late when I did, yup, I sound like an idiot, sorry about that*

do over-I would love another race added to Vegas and the Truex fans that sat behind us at the race there in March were saying that they thought another was going to be added, I have no idea which race it would replace, it would need to be in the late fall, as no one would sit outside in the Vegas heat during the middle of summer, no one seems to like California, but that's in late August, still 100+degrees in Vegas then, so idk.

I know that track isn't the most popular, but I'd love for more races to come out west, that was my main objective in wanting a second race there.

    I can't believe I said Pleaaaaase, pitiful!

  4. Dave I've been to the track in Sparta Kentucky and it's a beautiful race track, and has huge parking lots and room for plenty more, Kentucky's problem -or was when I was there

they can't seat 100,000 people and nascar is gonna think twice about letting a nascar event be held there-

however it is a beautiful place and deserves a full racing

schedule, I'd say if they build 60,000 more seats, they

would get a race in a heart beat,

  5. Ive been wanting to see Kentucky to get a race.  Iowa Speedway too would be awesome.  Take away a Cali race and one Pocyournose and its on.  And hopefuly Vegas will never get a second race.  Cali and Vegas turns it into NAPCAR.

  6. as i wrote before, i'll bet bruton takes a race from new hampshire and moves it to kentucky. then, he'll hold it hostage, threatening to move the whole track to another state if he doesn't get a second date for vegas.

that was his plan for new hampshire - just pick up the whole track and move it to vegas.  but now that he's got kentucky, once he gets a race there, he won't have to move the track so far...

yeah, i read that on ... somewhere...

    ;-)

ps. "thebestanswer" - i saw my first race at vegas, and with the recent improvements (the neon garage, the earnhardt terrace - seats like 25,000 MORE people) it's a site to see, and a great place to watch a race.  plus, there's plenty of hotel rooms there and much to do for fans in town. i know many, many people from the midwest all the way to the northwest who make the trek to vegas to watch that race, because there's nowhere else for them to go.  a second date is needed there.

take it from california - that's a boring track, and it never sells out - i live 20 minutes from it and have seen two or three races there (depends upon how you count the half-race rainout on sunday and both races being moved to monday this past year).

  7. I can see California losing a date very soon but that will be to Las Vegas to keep it on the West coast or Darlington to but it back for Labor Day. I say get rid of a Pocono date and give it to Kentucky. I really would like to know how some tracks get two dates and some aren't even looked at. Kentucky fans need something close by, along with Washington fans. Pocono will lose a date but the fans can go to Dover.

  8. Dave... This may be one that, Bruton has to wait a little while on? As long as they don't take a date from Atlanta! [as promised years ago'']???...

    I'm cool with Kentucky !!!

  9. If theres anyone who can get it done its Brut, Vegas needs two races and theycan have the banquet there as well, Yes taking one from Pocono would not bother me.. I think its time to look at crowds, which tracks sellout, face theres some that do not, the tracks that do not have great turnouts, oh yes I;m sure Fontana will come up..I've talked to some people who have been to the Kentucky track they say its a great facility, so get a cup race there, see what happens.  I say the tracks that do not sell out, well they get 1 race..  Brut its time for you to do yo thang, you always get it done.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

  10. Yes, their going to add the 50 plus seats they'll need to get a cup race.  Unfortunately, they'll pull a race from somewhere else.  What NASCAR should do is split the field in two and run multiple races everywhere.

  11. I don't think he has any roots tracks like North Wilkesboro to shut down, so it would be hard for him to get a race at Kentucky unless he buys another roots track. (By roots tracks, I mean the tracks that NASCAR started out on. Such as North Wilkesboro, Rockingham, etc.)

  12. Why would anyone want another race at Vegas. That track is pretty boring and I'm not sure but I don't think it's a sellout. You can't go wrong with Kentucky, I guarantee it would sellout every year

  13. I think Vegas would be a better choice for a 2nd race than putting it at Kentucky.  Both are 1.5 mile tracks but Vegas is nicer, bigger, and doesn't have several other tracks within driving distance to compete with.

Kentucky is a nice track but its just going to compete with Indy, Michigan, Bristol, and Martinsville for the same fans.  There are a lot of people who live in between these tracks that could go either way and cant afford to go to both places.

    - Michigan is only 5.25 hours away from Kentucky (2 races)

    - Indy is 2.5 hours away (1 race)

    - Chicago is 5.5 hours away (1 race)

    - Bristol is 5.5 hours away (2 races)

    - Martinsville is 7.5 hours away (2 races)

    - Richmond is 8.5 hours away (2 races)

I personally live less than 3 hours from Kentucky and Indy.  Michigan is only about 4 hours.

  14. That would be great if there was another track here in Vegas!!!!!!!! & Hope they learned from the speedway that the way they put everyone out into the one street is AWFUL!!!!  Hope they take that into account with a new one!!!! Because it can take forever to get out of this one!!!!!

    Hi Superdave!!

    ****EDIT******

That one dude- Your a A$S!!!!!!!

Why take the race away from Fontana?? Just because you don't like it doesn't mean to take our track away!!!!!! I don't think they need another track on the east coast side!!!!! The most of them are on that side!!!!! JERK!!!!
