Does it seem that they will stop at nothing to try to make the world think they are the best?

1) gymnasts are 10 and 12, not the ages their new passports claim. They had web [pages taken off the net saying otherwise before this.

2) news article showing the fireworks where computer generated on Sim levels for show.

3) Come on all, a coaches In Laws attacked and one killed, right before the event. And the person kills him self? who would believe the government didn't have a hand in that.

  1. The Chinese guy was paid by the American Government to kill the american guy to make China look bad. The Chinese guy didn't have and address and probably has been living in the life of poverty. He had to kill the guy so his family can get the money or else his family dies. This is what the American Government planned.

  2. Firework is not fake. It is only fake as shown in TV because the helicopter with camera too dangerous to take shot of the real fireworks. About the murder incident....there are thousands of murder cases that happen around the world, in the US alone....in Iraq, etc. And they were not trying to hide the fact that is is computer generated. The reporter said it so. China is the inventor of fireworks and they are the producers of the best fireworks in the world by the way. People are always jealous of China it seems, and nitpicking any way they can. You have to admit it, the show  is spectacular, probably the best in man's history and probably ONLY China would be able to do something like that. Fireworks is not even the best part of the show so why try to tarnish the whole show? About trying to HIDE something....do you really think your government is not trying to hide something? So what then if it's fake? It is not like they're trying to hide it-----Lord of the Rings is fake, Star Wars, etc. You're just hating.

  3. There is no set age limit for athletes in the Olympics.  Real fireworks have been outlawed in China for at least a decade because of safety concerns.  Governments in every nation have a hand in events as big as the Olympics.  Don't be so quick to judge.

  4. for the fireworks part: not all fireworks were fake and they only did that because some of the fireworks are supposed to make a shape but if there was rain or wind the whole thing would be ruined and also for safety

say they were all real but a big gust of wind blew during one of the fireworks i think there would also be complaints about how bad the fireworks were

so either way people are going to make a big deal out of it

  5. Haha, another victim of the almighty NBC - what is your proof? Just by comparing boob size and say all Chinese are under age and Americans are not? Come up - Asian looks natually younger and they are simply not that interested in plastic surgery.

Come on all, another 20 in Iraq attacked and all killed, right before the event (actaully every day). Who would believe anythign said by the government that can lie to justify this kind of massive killing?

  6. 1. They probably are under aged - but people speculate they are actually around 14-15, not 10-12. The UK also had an under aged 14 year old gymnast as well. Since other competitions have no age limit, some coaches have suggested that gymnastics should not have age limits as well.

    2. The fireworks were real - if you were in the city, you saw 100% of the real thing. People watching on TV also saw mostly the real thing as well - some of the scenes that were the 'fake' computer generated images were made to replicate the real thing.

(because they couldn't film some of the real fireworks with helicopters - either too dangerous or couldn't keep up)

    3. Why would the Chinese government purposely kill tourists to make themselves look bad? That's like saying Bush staged 9/11 and Iraq to purposely make his approval ratings drop.

  7. I highly respect the Chinese culture and people. They have done much good for the world. They have made rapid economic and athletic progress in the last half century and that can't be argued with. I am not concerned with CG fireworks being used for show, this is not an issue that truly impacts my view of the games. Nor does the murder of a prominent figure. The murder could have just as easily happened anywhere else though I highly doubt that the Chinese or American governments had anything to do with it. But the Chinese athletes being underage and their government breaking the rules set down by FIG and the IOC is regrettable. If they were really comfortable with themselves they would not be doing that. The Chinese people have already proven themselves and they don't need to stoop to cheating to show the world they are great. Go out and play fair and with honor. That will show the world if they doubt your greatness.

  8. It does make you wonder doesn't it.

  9. You are blinded by anti-communist media. The CG and the lip syncing don't bother me a bit. A great show is a great show. They never intended to hide it anyway, they just did it to make a great show even greater. While China has a lot of flaws, you need to keep your bias in check. Saying their government has a hand in the killing of a relative of an American coach isn't too bright a thing to say, really... why would they s***w up their own show they invested so much in. I think the Chinese well deserve the credit for their efforts in these games, and the same goes to their athletes.

  10. Even the Great Britain team have a 14 year old diver. Even discountinhg the "footprints" computer generated image their overall firework display as was their opening show a brilliant specticle. As for the nutter who killied this American he jumped before the police arrived.

  11. There is no age limit to compete in the Olympics.  There are have been multiple Olympicans (including Gold Medalist) younger than 10.  I believe the youngest winner was 6 or 7, who was part of a rowing compitetion.  They often use children to do the calling ("stroke", "stroke") to reduce the weight.

  12. well, first of all, there will always be lies when it comes to politics and (I don't know what exactly it's called) "nation management".

if you think those things you mention are bad or hypocrite, you should live in Indonesia, or Singapore, just to mention a few.

each country has her own "scheme" to maintain her image. each country have done all possible devious or underhand means "...to make the world think they are the best." but who can judge who?

  13. China seems quite like a country that will cheat to win. I don't trust them at all and I think it's an abomination that they were allowed to hold the Olympics. Talk about sullying the reputation of the Olympics. It's a disgrace. The Chinese killed animals and displaced citizens. The smog is terrible and a health risk to so many. The Chinese government couldn't care less. It's horrible. I think even less of the Chinese than I did before. You cannot trust the Chinese government. They do what they feel is its own best interest.
