I am trying to load a custom voice. I know it is compatable with other StreetPilot versions; I do not yet know if it is compatable with the c330. I'm working on finding out. The installation instructions are:

...

3. Turn the GPS unit off.

4. Plug the GPS unit into the computer USB port. After a few moments, Windows should recognize the device.

5. Go to Start -> My Computer and figure out which drive Windows has assigned to it (it will say "Garmin"). For the purpose of these instructions, we'll use drive "E:".

4. Navigate to E: -> Garmin -> Voice. There are two files that need to be backed up:

* english_american_.sum

* English_American_.vpm

Move those two files to a safe place on your computer.

...

But the problem is this: If I go to My Computer the Garmin does not show up. If I go to "Safely Remove Hardware" the Germin does not show up. If I go to System-Hardware-Device Manager it lists the Garmin, but I can't do anything with it.

I have been on hold for over an hour
