America was training Georgian troops a month before the attack and Georgia attacked Russian peacekeeping forces first, remember that.  Not to mention that Israeli intelligence was involved and the business interests invested in the gas pipeline running across the region.  This is also merely a ploy to start another cold war to prop up defense contractor spending for when Obama shifts troops to Afghanistan and Pakistan.  The ingenious evil of the plan is later on when Russia continues to help Iran with building a nuclear reactor (albeit one that cannot produce material for creating nuclear weapons) and we use that as an excuse to attack Iran.
