With Hudson on the DL, is Chris Carpenter a good replacement?

I might not drop Hudson but if there is anybody you can afford to drop to get Carpenter I would deffinitly do it. Same with Liriano coming back soon and possibly Jason Shmidt. Three solid pitchers coming back soon put them on your watch list

from what i hear hudson is out for the season but i would wait to make sure that is confirmed. carpenter is hit or miss. one start should set what he could be like the rest of the season. the cardinals are slumping right now though.

I'm not sure about adding Carp just yet. Keep in mind that he has had several setbacks in his recovery and Wednesday's start will be his first since early last season.
