  1. not a chance. Yanks won't even make the playoffs.

  2. The Yankees still have pitching troubles. The rotation and bullpen are stronger, but I won't be comfortable until we've got more guys throwing in games and showing their stuff.

And the Yankees will have to get through the Angels first. That will be the real test.

  3. Pudge is definitely not the Yanks MVP,but will help fill a void created by Pos being out for the season. No,the Yanks should make it to P.S.,but they don't have what it takes to stop the Halos this year.

  4. its kind of hard to win it all when you don't make the playoffs...

  5. No they won't. In fact, since it takes pitching depth to win in the playoffs, this will come back to haunt them. (If they manage to make the playoffs, that is)

  6. No, I'm a Yankee fan, so I would love if they did well, but I am sort of happy and I hope they wont make the playoffs this year.

I'm a big Torre fan.  I am really happy that Torre got fired even though he brought us to the playoffs every year, but Steinbrenner wasn't happy enough with just that, because we didn't win it all.  The first season hes not with us, we wont even go THAT far, I hope Steinbrenner goes crazy and begs Torre to come back.

I said in the other question, the only other catcher I would want instead of Ivan to replace Posada, is Ryan Doumit.  (Im a catcher so even though these people are from different teams, i respect them =)  So again, I'm a Yankees fan, but no, the hole that they have dug themselves into and how their playing, they wont go all the way, probably not even the playoffs this year.

  7. No way in h**l the Angels will sweep the Yankees in their upcoming series and win it all.

  8. i think the yankees will make the playoffs, possibly win in the alds FINALLY! but wont win it all. but the oc person is kind of wrong. what people dont realize is that the payroll doesnt mean anything. the red sox are doing fine. and they have the 2nd highest payroll so for the whole yankee pay roll thing thats a bunch of s h i t.  pudge is yesteryear player this really only gives molina a break because dont expect pudge to be like he was 5 years ago. realistically, it helps, but it isnt the trade the yankees need. they needed washburn. that way we can tell ponson to warm up the bend in scranton ans when wang comes back the yanks would be set.

  9. h**l no! they will not win it all...come on be real...have they been winning it all with the highest paid 3rd baseman, the best shortstop, and the best outfielders? i think not...one old catcher is not going to win it all thats for sure.

  10. no,  i really like it  but let's see if pudge works, tampa still at the top of division and boston ara above yanks, and the yanks loose three in a row

  11. Won't even be close, the Angels will whoop any Al team in a seven game series and it will probably only take them 5 games to do it! Yankees are beefing up for second place and thats it. A "looks like 40+ year old catcher" is not the savior!

  12. Not sure what to make of this move. Sure, I didn't really like Farnsworth that much, but old Pudge?

This doesn't cinch anything for the Yankees. But it shows me they're being aggressive, which I like.

Besides, he's a rent-a-player. He won't be with the team beyond the end of this season.
