Talked with some more racers this past wknd at road A

nce again I was told that ben and matt get their own tire.

So in my opnon they are not that great.

Niether of them did schit against the wsbk boys a few years back at laguna

If i was matt i would have been long gone from the ama I mean how many times do you need to beat the same privateers on better tires?

Spies should move up he has the swantzter backing him but i doubt he will do well in moto gp on a satellite team

Mladin wont go back and he is getting a little "long in the tooth" to endure that again.  He is confortable where he is at.

I believe Ben should take the chance and go.  I dont think he would sign with a top team right away looking the way things are beginning to shape out in MotoGP.  But he has the potential coming from an American ala Nicky Hayden and John Hopkins.  That cannot be ignored.

I went to the AMA race this weekend and if you are a NON Suzuki Superbike fan it is disgusting.  Those two PULL away from the pack on the first lap like everyone is on 600's.  Yeah, they are good but I dont believe they could have the same results say on a Yamaha.  I heard rumors (from an inside source at the race) of a friendly rivalry between Jamie Hacking and Spies.  The souce claims that they want to "line em up" with identical equipment...Hacking acknowledges without inferior equipment Spies wouldnt stand a chance.  I agree.

And to agree with 51's comment coming from the same source....I cant believe they have "special tires"

ben will go, matt is too old and he did good with suzuki, i think ben will cause he is a youg lion, like nicky who is hungry, bring back colin and go ben

Mat is too old for MotoGP, IMHO he is too arrogant anyway. I am a local racer at NHIS and was sick of his crying about the track safety. Ben is young and talented Hopper and Nicky would be glad to see a new young lion from the USA come over, hope he gets a shot soon.

m WSB has become a place for old GP stars look at Mad Max he is doing fine and loves the WSB scene....

Mladin wont go back to Motogp because he will never get hired.

He was fired from Cagiva in 93 for been to slow.

He has stayed in the AMA because he can make good money there. He is not good enough now for Motogp. Thats why he was not on a 3rd Suzuki at Laguna.

As for Spies. He needs to leave AMA ASAP. Just dont go to WSB, its dead already.

We don't get to see any ama in the uk - but I don't think there are any seats left in gp for next year!

At his age and his wage, Mat is happy where he is.

Ben wants to Move up and has been promised a Moto GP Suzuki ride for 2009. Rizzla Suzuki seats are both taken for 2008, and there are no plans to run a permanent 3rd bike.

However, some wildcard rides are looking likeley. Certainly for the two US rounds in 2008, and possibly (I've heard a rumor) at Valencia this year. I hope so. Ben deserves it.
