Most people picked them to be one of the best and most dangerous next year but to lose in the end but now with another star and a healthy team can they win it all. Well yeah they can but do you give them much of a chance. Heres Ron Artests stats:

  1. I really believe that the Rockets can win a playoffs series. I really need to change my username. People think Im a Boston fan but I was actually born and raised in Houston.

  2. I think it will depend on how well Battier plays.

  3. YEs . SR

  4. No more Finals for Kobe

  5. Okay take this from someone who has had experience with Ron Artest (I'm a Kings fan...as you know). He is an excellent player. But he isn't a TEAM player. You need to be a TEAM player to help win a championship. And I definitely don't think that T-Mac and Yao can do it alone and I don't think Artest will be much of any help. But we'll see I guess.

I'm pretty happy Sac got Bobby Jackson back though. We missed him.

  6. They were already contenders.. but with Artest, they are sure to be dangerous against any team if everyone is healthy..

im just most glad that bobby jackson is outta the team..d**n he nearly single handedly lose it for the rockets in straight games..

  7. if yao stays healthy maybe but lakers with a healthy roster are too strong. i am a celtics fan but a healthy lakers roster is just too good. only contenders for the ring next year is lakers hornets and celtics if they can find someone to replace posey.

  8. Well, against teams like Pistons, Celtics, Spurs, and Lakers... They will make a splash, but they won't win a title..

  9. they are able to contend without him. getting him will increase their chances

  10. no lakers all the way

    pg-derek fisher

    sg-kobe bryant

    sf-lamar odom

    pf-pao gasol

    c-andrew bynum

  11. its actually bobby jackson and donte green(not a future 1st round) for artest. and yeah, i wanna see boston and houston in the finals. tmac vs ray allen. 2 of my fave players. and at least now we wont keep seeing pierce blow by anyone now that hes gonna be guarded by artest. and yao vs kg?! thats just sick. now all they have to do is get a good pg and there set for the NBA finals.

  12. If the Rockets stay healthy...how are they not the team to beat for that matter.  What team besides the Celtics (who one it all) have three legite all stars on their team?

The Rockets probably would have gotten outta the first round this year if Yao was playing.  Far to difficult to lose your best player nad get out of the first round in the west.  Nonetheless they pushed them to 6 games.  They gave up nothing that contributed to their team last year.  Bobby Jackson is a stiff, A late first rounder nest year....big deal, and Donte Green (who i will be sound to see go since i think he has a great upside, but is still only a question mark).

The only question is will Artest become a distraction to the team?  If he is happy in Houston and doesnt become a nuccense...this trade elevates the rockets right their with the Lakers as the two teams to beat next year. No doubt.

  13. if not at least they'll finally get out of the first round

  14. Yes.

  15. Its possible just not likely

  16. ron artest isnt on the rockets????:S
