With Shirley Temple instead of Judy Garland would the Wizard of Oz have been better or worse?

Or do you think it would have made no difference. Personaly I wish Shirley could have done it, but at the same time I wonder if the movie would have turned out more "cheesy." What do you think?

Shirley would have been far too cutesy. She also doesn't have the voice of Judy Garland.
