I'm am so tired of the rumor no team wants to take the deal the kings are throwing out there, not to mention talks have completely stalled with the lakers and kings. Until the lakers decided whether to match the offer made by GS(which is highly unlikely) only then will new rumors emerge. Oh and the lakers have become more hesistant on parting with odom, new rumors have emerged on the interest for marion. but at this point as a fan i don't care anymore.

i heard another rumor with lamar going to sac for artest, quincy douby and shelden williams. douby and williams are only under contract for next season and this would actually save the lakers about 2 mil, 4 mil if you include the the luxury tax. douby and williams aren't proven players but again, they're not gonna get that many minutes anyway. just guys off the bench when starters and primary backups are in foul trouble.

but i say keep lamar and just sign a back up for the veterans min. see how lamar does with pau and bynum and if it doesn't work out, then go after artest or marion the season after.

kenny thomas is not that bad, hes not going to get much minutes anyway.  the lakers just dont want to take on the 2 years left on his contract.  it also seems that they are not willing to part with odom so easily.  it would be easier to keep odom, and wait it out till hes a free agent, and possibly give him a smaller contract, since he seems willing to take on the 3rd-4th option role with that team, as artest probably wont be comfortable with that.

Kenny Thomas isn't bad, but he got a bad contract. The Lakers does not want to take over that contract for the next 2 years. He's getting paid 8-9 million dollars to sit on the bench.
