  1. i wonder

  2. No chance; Woods has such a monumental lead over the world #2 that it would be nearly statistically impossible, since the ranking is over a 2-year period.

Now, if Woods were somehow to be out for the start of next year, and somehow, the world #2 (Mickelson) were to go on the mother of runs, winning tournaments that Woods had won and 'defending' any WR points, he 'might' make it interesting,

but at a minimum, he'd have to enter and win any tournament Tiger finished in the Top 10 last year (and obviously win both remaining majors, and run the table at the FedEx playoff events), plus win the Masters in 2009, and go on a huge streak  (winning both early WGC events, and a ton of the West Coast events) it would then be very, very close.  Remember, Vijay Singh only overtook Tiger in 2004 for a brief time because Tiger had only 1 win in 2004, and Singh had 10 (and Tiger went majorless in 2003).

  3. Slim to none.

  4. No chance... and I'm NOT guessing or exaggerating.  Tiger's lead in the world rankings is so great that his point total is more than twice that of his nearest competitor, Philly Phil.  TW is so far in the lead that he can afford to take the rest of the season off and he will still begin next season at #1.

In the never-gonna-happen chance that Phil rattles off 13 in a row, including 2 majors and and the FedEx Cup, he'll come close.  (no one has EVER won 13 straight, and frankly, Phil doesn't have the stamina to PLAY in 13 straight, let alone

    WIN 13 straight)

  5. Nobody is going to win every tournament.   I look at is now it gives someone else a chance to win.  He will come back and immediately excell.  It is his thing (natural) raw talent.  But for now it is someone elses....

  6. Slim and None and Slim is out of town?

  7. the #1 ranking involves someone winning more than once in a season right? well i wonder who could win more than once. i think maybe phil, sergio, anthony kim, boo weekley, ryuji, kj choi, adam scott and or trevor immelman. the ones ive listed have already won once this year, but i feel that they can win again, especially phil and sergio.
