  1. I have a package thru the cable company...phone, internet and cable for $100 bucks a month. ...no problems so far.

  2. Depends on how you have it set up, Typically yes if the power goes out the phone wont work if it's Skype or Vonage. Skype isn't intended to be a phone replacement but an enhancement. I like Skype and use it like a teen line. It also allows you to make wifi calls with the right equipment to whereever you find an open wifi.

  3. that's correct!!

I have VoIP for the past 5 years and only had a few like 15 minutes power outages, no biggie! I just use the cell-phone...!

that's why I just now clearwire.com....its wi-fi max/fixed   so... you don't need the electricity...my Internet comes from the nearest microwaive tower 1 mile away!!!

its only 16 dollars a month if you pay yearly!

  4. Yes,I have Vonage and it goes through my high speed, when the electricity goes out so does Vonage but the way you can get around it is by putting your cell number in as a back up so it will ring your cell too.

As for Skype that  is right on your computer so if your computers out you don't have it either unless you have it ring to your cell
