Hi!

Thanks for taking your time to help out!

I have an older 1080i TV that has only component (RCA) cable inputs. Using my computer's Blue Ray reader to watch HD movie on my computer monitor, also HDCP certified, is no problem.

Now, if I would like to hook up the my computer to my component TV to watch HD movies using a "DVI to Component"cable, will I have a problem with HDCP restriction? I have a HDCP certified video card (DVI output only) on my computer. Is this doable? The big TV is working fine now, I would hate to buy another TV because of the HDCP restriction on the cable used! Can someone give me some suggestions? Thank you very much!

  1. Yeah, that should work out just fine, just make sure when you hook up the TV to go into the display settings and make sure the resolution is turned up all the way so you get the best quality picture on the TV.
