  2. They will be identical to if you were using DVI to DVI or HDMI to HDMI. The two specs are IDENTICAL when it comes to the technology. The only difference is that HDMI can also carry audio over the cable while DVI is strictly video. You don't even need a signal converter box to go from one to the other tho - the pinouts carry identical signals so yes, the picture will be crystal clear. Just make sure your computer's video resolution is set at the maximum your TV supports for optimal image quality.
