With a duvet cover, which end of the bed should the duvet cover w/ the button closure opening be placed?

The comforter is inside the duvet cover, and the open end of the duvet cover that you insert the comforter in is secured with button closures. So should the end of the duvet cover with the opening that has the button closures be placed at the head of the bed (where your head will be) or at the foot of the bed? Is there a right way to position the duvet cover? Or maybe it doesn't make any difference?

I always put mine at the foot of the bed.  It is tucked in a little so you can't see it and we don't rub the buttons during the night.
