I have a 1965 Cutlass I spent $3,000 do you think I can sell it for $4,000 or maybe even $5,000 or should I just keep it?.It’s because I don’t want to spend so much money that when it comes to selling that I don’t get a little more then I spent..........this is the link to see pics: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2934950

  1. better off keeping it because who ever wants to buy it will want to insure it which is impossible to do with a salvage title also you won't get what is is worth

  2. It looks to be a very nice car. What is the reason it has a salvage title? Unless you are strapped for cash I would keep it. It isn't a car you see every day.

  3. Depends on why it has a salvage title. Was it wrecked, stolen, flooded, or what? Have the damages been repaired? What is the actual condition of the car? What is the value on Kelley Blue Book (www.kbb.com) and NADA (www.nadaguides.com)?

Can you get the car inspected in your state by the DMV and get a clean title?

  4. First off you seldom get your money back when fixing up an old car. And if it has a salvage title that just reduces the possibility of getting a decent price. The salvage title makes it four or five times as hard to sell.
