scandals? there are no real scandals her daughter got pregnant... surprise this happens every day in america young girls get pregnant I'm just happy she is keeping it and getting married also this situation with the cop is completely made up... the guy that palin supposedly put pressure on to fire a cop has said she didnt its a big deal about non sense

I doubt that if McCain had chosen Jesus as his running mate that there would have been any fewer allegations and scandals surrounding his pick.

I think she was an attempt by McCain to try and capitalize on Obama ignoring the votes which Hillary brought in during the primary season--to instead go with the ONE candidate who had to withdraw because of having made racial inferences and then having low poll numbers. It would have made more sense for Obama to have picked Hillary.  

At the same time, he is trying to soothe 'social conservatives' who remain honestly worried that a woman executive would be a 'radical feminist'.

However since McCain had refused to pick more qualified GOP women (Sens. Snowe and Collins) this was not a good choice. Their national experience and moderate voting record makes them more savvy to playing politics on the national stage.

And having been elected in 1992, during that 'year of the woman' they already have some experience with media 'extensive coverage'--and scrutiny. They would not be naive amateurs expecting to be left alone.

Palin cannot seriously continue to claim she supports abstience only when her daughter was sleeping around and getting knocked up.

The whole alleged argument behind abstinence only education is that it prevents teen pregnancy from occuring. Well, obviously it does not if a public proponent of this very same program has children who get pregnant.

There is no reason to change.  I like Romney and in fact, would have voted for him in the primary but he had already dropped out.  If McCain changes now, he is toast.   The issues being brought up against Palin are straw man issues and cross the line.  They show the inconsistency of the Democrat Party and the double standard that they adhere to.  Nancy Pelosi has five children; should she resign from the House of Representatives?
