  1. Different environments produce different sharks adapted to that environment. Sharks have been around since like the Devonian Era , I think, and survival of the fittest took over.

  2. Think of your Great White as being like the Lion or Tiger of the sea. There are lots of other smaller breeds of cat: cheetah, leopard, puma, jaguar, down to domestic cat. It's really no different with sharks. You just get a different fish that has adapted to it's own ecological niche, some bigger, some smaller, some active hunters, some scavengers, some filterfeeders.

  3. lol no. the sharks come from a common ancestor (thought to be megalodon). the difference accounts for habitat and the types of food they eat. it can be compared to the finches discovered by Darwin. they all come from a common ancestor but they adapt to their environments and foods. this happens with sharks as well. lemon sharks can open and close their eyes, and great white sharks are very large in size. hammerhead sharks have eyes that are very far apart. these are all adaptations and they account for the different types of sharks.

  4. Uhh....no.  Me thinks you could brush up your understanding of evolution.
