  1. The game of football is played, live, when there is only one ball on the field. I don't believe this is a serious question but on the field the point is to either take the ball and cross the goal line with it, or to kick it through a pair of poles known as uprights.

What you are saying here is that a group of adults running around trying to get possession of a football is a pointless pursuit but get real, sport plays a big part in our societies all over the World and it sets up contests where theoretically people don't kill each other - like a good natured contest man v. man etc.  Now I think World Wars should be fought on the basis of warring nations should put up their sporting teams in a chosen match one against the other and the winner takes whatever they are warring about.  Now wouldn't that be better than shedding blood????  Plus sport is good for one's physical fitness so please don't knock it and it is all about personal and team endeavour which can teach us a lot about life in general and also give the followers another form of religion to follow!!!!!!
