People can get off their fat a** and walk inside the business. ALL drive-thrus, not just fast-food. Banks, dry cleaners, etc. More gas is WASTED there than anywhere else!!!

  1. and people want to dictate how other people live..while it's ok for Al Gore and his rich friends fly around in private jets

  2. HMM,your right!!!!

we should outlaw all the toll booths too!!!

And while we're at it,all the "exempt"vehicles like fire, school, police, military, etc, etc that are not up to emissions standards.

    Lets not stop there though.......

I think we should outlaw all the asphalting jobs everywhere that are wasting so much oil and also the farm equiptment that is just a total waste......the border patrol cars and trucks that sit idling at borders across the country,,semi trucks that idle while the drivers sleep,,,we should shut those down too!!

We dont need no stinking trucks!!!!

h**l...lets just grow everything at home!!

oHHH I know...Whenever we are at home,,,we can shut off our main circuit breakers and sit in the dark too!!!!What fun....

And the elderly who are on life support,,such a waste of energy,,PULL THE PLUGS!!!!

I'm not sure what happened to you in a drive through to make you so passionate about it,but you should realize that this is an unreasonable question......

To get rid of drive thru's would warrant more space for parking and really take a notch out of our schedules nationwide...no,,worldwide.....

I see that you can be passionate about something, but I think you should aim that passion at something that really matters.

  3. Wrong! NASCAR wastes far more fuel than all the idling cars in the country.

  4. Nascars run on ethanol. Who are you to tell me what I can or can't do with my own business?

  5. because we're not running out of oil.

  6. The reasoning behind this question is not correct.  You are suggesting that it takes Less gas to turn off your vehicle get out, go do whatever it is, come back and start your vehicle to leave again.  Well, that is wrong...

Depending on what sort of vehicle you have and how long you are in a drive-thru.

Do you know when your vehicle uses the most fuel at any one moment???  It is at start-up, it takes more fuel to get your engine started than it does to run at highway speed, low, speed or idle.   Unless you are waiting in line at the drive-thru for an excessive amount of time you are not wasting as much fuel as you would if you turned off your car and then had to start it again.  This is especially true if you have a larger or older engine.

  7. That is how the economy is and that will never change. It is a fair convinience for everyone.

  8. You can't use one industry to solve problems in another industry. There are drive-thrus because people like them.

With your thinking we'd have to outlaw planes, trains and trucks.
