  1. I think we shall have to start a cull of excessive populations soon. As long as I'm not included in any cull, I don't mind LOL!

  2. I hope so, I am against some things done by China but this was a magnificent move which avoided millions being killed by nature.

Sadly I would also remove all aid to those who do not practise birth control, China does this also . This may seem harsh but nature's way is far harder

  3. Yes I think so in small countries like the uk.  I think it really needs to be thought about now.  Maybe restrictions of 2 children could be brought in earlier, rather than waiting until things are desperate then restricting to only 1.

  4. about 30 yrs or so...i think

  5. I think you'll find that western countries growth rates have slowed right down in comparrison to third-world countries...

The USA has an annual growth rate of less than 1%, meaning its population will double in a bit over 70 years.

  6. only supposed to be 600,000 people on the planet, incase you didnt know

  7. I doubt it. Western nations are slipping towards poverty, and look at eastern Europe when it fell into it. The birth rates plummeted, to about one child per couple. It is still falling where it is not sustainable.

  8. hopefully, there are too many people around lol but i  think it`ll be ages before it happens

  9. i dont think western couples will do that. they'll just find alternative ways to deal with it

  10. about 12 more years, its in the works

  11. No, I don't think America would come to that.  At least not without something facing the country much worse than the oil crises and 9-11-01.

  12. No.  Western countries populations are decreasing, so there is no need for it.  It is third world nations where they keep increasing, which is why you see them running all over the world for visas since they cannot afford to feed there 9 kids, so they come to a Western nation, go on welfare, food stamps, housing and have 4 more kids.

  13. No.  Not as long as the USA stays a republic.

  14. in the far future i think that will mos def happen

  15. Think the government are more likely to spread genetically engineered diseases to get the population down.

  16. We need to reproduce to sustain the population for centuries to come. If we were producing sufficient children from the indigenous population of the UK then perhaps controls over immigration could have been more strict.

  17. Fundamentalist islam is like a plague of locusts in the way they would choose to overtake.  I dont know what the bible says about locusts but I think its something like this:  Blah blah blah blah blah........etc.

  18. the rate at which people around the world are dying from natural disasters like katrina, the tsunami, earthquake in china....the population growth rate is not going to be as high as anticipated,so definately not in my life time atleast!

  19. what is the meaning of this question.........do u think a time will come when -----.........the population will decrease......the demograhic geometry will change,.......

  20. Probly in 100 years and it wont be like chinas if you have twins they will make exeptions

  21. Not until its to late, greed will keep the world population rising to make a market for consumer goods etc,

food and fuel will get scarcer and new technology will not keep up, maybe it will take a real Holocaust to bring the world in line, nature will win in the end though.

Alex, for a young avatar you have half  a brain  well said

  22. Its too late for that. Over population is at something like 5x capacity, which is behind almost every problem we have. Nature has its own way of dealing with overpopulation, war and disease. Although education and medicine are dealing with these problems, its like using a cardboard box to hold of an avalanche. Eventally we'll be hit by something we can't cure, like Ebola, and 5 billion people are going to die, or we're going to kill each other over diminishing resources. And most of that 5 billion will be in cramped china and india. Think of Hong Kong with a highly infectious disease.

The policy will never be introduced. It SHOULD have been done years ago, but people are too short sighted to care. You still get peple running amock with 12 kids. And those with the most children often have the lowest IQ, the lowest incomes, and are unable to properly care for their children. (I said most, not all.)

  23. not for many many years, id say, probably not in my lifetime, or maybe the nearing of mine
