reason for holes is that drainage is not very good and can't think of how else to deal with it if laying straight onto concrete. should I just lay blocks with concrete and then use sand for spaces - then blaocks won't move?

  1. hi mate, you wont want drainage holes, put down a good layer of sand and then lay your blocks, then brush dry silica sand all over to fill in the joints.all the best

  2. you do not require the holes unless you want to, if you do then put something over the holes to make sure they do not get blocked up

  3. If there is no need to provide drainage holes in the concrete now, why would you need them after laying the blocks, whatever the drainage/run-off system is now will continue to function.
