  1. Doubtful.

It would be like a very small bandage put on a severed limb.

Everyone on the LA freeways ignored the law the last time it was enacted anyway.

  2. Nothing those idiots do would surprise me. We need to vote them all out of office for being stupid.

  3. There's nothing to say that you can't drive 55 now, just don't get mad when I fly past you doing 75 because I can afford my gas, no problemo!

  4. No because the government dose not give a sh*t about us

  5. I certainly hope not. After President Nixon passed that law, President Jimmy Carter had to live with the consequences: it was a total disaster and contributed nothing to conserving fuel. I doubt any President wants to live through that again.

And, as the young man above stated, fuel prices are not high because there is a shortage. One reason is because  speculators are artificially driving the price up.

I might add too, that actually the prices are a comedy of errors and involves many factors. One thing that would be beneficial to slowing the spiraling prices would be for US to start drilling. There are many ways to acquire more petroleum without harming the environment but the environmentalist wackos keep getting in the way and the government keeps letting them.

    Hope this helps. :o)

  6. I hope not. There is only one congressman that is proposing this. I don't really see how it will help. It's not going to make gas prices go down. People can drive slower if they want to, as long as they stay in the right lane. Everyone should have the choice to drive slower if they want to. Not be forced to.

  7. No

55 MPH was because there was a gasoline shortage.

The prices today are not high because there is a shortage. The prices are high because there are speculators artificially driving the price up.

Hopefully the speculators will lose their shirts.

  8. I sure hope so,  I get all kinds of flack for choosing to drive no higher then 55, but 55 saves lives. .Remember??
