With glee S A Walsh took the purse home, when his Benro Blackie hit the wire ahead of the pack in the Bigwin.com Property Stakes
At last the final race of the Tuesday’s meeting at Harlow, gave S A Walsh a reason to celebrate with his black dog Benro Blackie. Covering the 592 meters distance fabulously, the four-year-old declared himself as the purse winner in the Bigwin.com Property
Stakes.
Being the joint favourite of the race Benro Blackie not only won the race, but he also vanquished his major contender Tain Maeve, who tragically was the last hound crossing over for S A Walsh.
The 2 to1 JF of the race dashed out of the box, as the door of the trap 2 opened up. Tremendously he took the initiative to lead the race from the beginning of his chase, rallying through 4 other contenders, Benro Blackie hit the wire ahead of the pack with
the winning time of 37.65 seconds.
The moment when S A Walsh was given the chance to celebrate, P W Young had his eyes on his black dog, who sadly got defeated by 1 ¼ lengths and managed to finish up second.
Swabys Onenut sent off as the 5 to 2 favourite, took 10 extra seconds to cover the required distance.
The trap 6 racer began his chase with a lethargic pace, and his sluggish performance not only assisted him to be left far behind, but he also got crowded for 2 whole lengths.
Even though he kept on racing for the purse, but this strategy did not work out for him. Swabys Onenut took 37.75 seconds to finish up the race, for P W Young.
Surelines Answer, a two-year-old black dog, sadly finished up third in the race for H J Dimmock. Though the black dog started off very impressively from trap 4, suddenly he got bumped in traffic twice during first and second bend.
The tragic situation not only broke his pace, but he was left 6 ¼ lengths behind Swabys Onenut, H J Dimmock’s hound took 38.25 seconds to finish up.
The hound who managed to place himself fourth in the race was also H J Dimmock racer, Shirty Gerty. The black b***h started off quite impressively, but as she prevailed to the finish line, she suddenly bumped in for 1 length. The three-year-old took 38.41
seconds to complete her defined target.
The fifth hound who got hold of the wire was A J Taylor’s Brinkleys Lulu, the black b***h breaking through trap 3 unfortunately got bumped in twice for 1 and 2 lengths.
The three-year-old along with completing her distance in 38.93 seconds whitewashed S A Walsh’s Taine Maeve who was sent as the 2 to 1 JF, who could not contribute to his trainers festivity.
S A Walsh was proclaimed as the fortunate trainer who took the purse worth £5,000 home, which was won by Benro Blackie, along with the winnings of £ 200 for Tain Maeve.
