With hurricane gustav?

Will it be the same as hurricane katrina? I live in Natchitoches,La and was wondering how back it will be and if it would be a catagory 1 or 2 when it hits us?

It will probably make landfall as a Category 3 or 4. Although it will weaken after landfall, it won't be a 1 or 2 until it's been on land for a while.

Katrina didn't hit Louisiana - Katrina hit Mississippi. The levees broke in Louisiana, there is a big difference.

with a hurricane you can never say which way it will head, i do hope for your sake it misses you. and that you have taken precautions to get out quick to a safe spot
