Okay, so a few days ago I got a new Nokia 5310 with T-Mobile. Great phone. Well, about an hour ago, I dropped it and now the screen doesn't work. Its just black. I can still make calls, but no display of course. I got insurance for it through T-Mobile, but I was wondering that since I got it a few days ago, will I be able to claim it as broken through the insurance for a new phone this early? Because I heard from someone that you have to have had the insurance for at least 30 days. I could not find out if that was true myself, so I am asking that here. Please help. Thanks.

  1. if there's any terms and conditions, they should be in your insurance small print

generally, there is no time limit on when you can claim - such is the point of insurance, it covers you from the second it starts, so if you get insurance then immediately break something it is covered (although if it's within hours, they might be slightly suspicious!)

you should be able to claim - that's what insurance is for
