They don't have the pieces to even contend in the playoffs... this will be a rebuilding year for the Knicks.

well i think everyone knows that the east STINKS except the top 3. all they have to do is to win at least 40-45% of their games. There's like 2 teams that improved in the east this year (Cavs, sixers) and those 2 was in the playoffs last season so yeah about 45% that they'll make it

The Knicks have the pieces that can be great in D'Antoni's system...

Nate Robinson (Leandro Barbosa) - Is the speed of NY, hits 3's, scores, dunks, hasnt played Barbosa's minutes but it will get there

Fred Jones *If kept (Raja Bell) Hits a lot of 3's, except unlike Raja he is a leaper and Raja is a better defender

Stephon Marbury/Chris Duhon (Steve Nash) - Nash is obviously loads better but these guys (Marbury *if kept and applies himself for once) can achieve a very good season. Duhon is up to the task and may shine as a starter after being Hinrich's reserve. Both these guys rely on speed and can pass. Marbury has an offensive game Duhon hits 3's which is good for a D'Antoni team but he does not have much of a jumpshot.

David Lee (Boris Diaw) - Is a very athletic and versatile big man I think he is better than Boris Diaw. He may finally start this year and unlike Diaw Lee is consistent

Zach Randolph (Amare Stoudamire) - We need to get rid of Curry he dont work well w/ Zach and w/ Zach w/ most the touches he can beclose to or just as good as Amare Stoudamire. Zach in since 02-03 has been All-star calibur in 06-07 w/o Curry he averaged 23.7 ppg and 10.1 rpg. Amare that year averaged 20.4 ppg and 9.1 rpg. Zach's stats were better than Duncan, Amare, and Garnett's that year too bad Zach does not have the leadership capabilities as them. But, anyway Curry needs to go and Lee would benefit from that as he can be PF and Zach C.

Jamal Crawford - Compares to no one in Phoenix he can straight up put points on the scoreboard. Offense is always key for D'Antoni

Q. Richardson (Raja Bell) -Put up 3's for Mike led the league in fact and like Raja is a very good defender. He is inconsistent hopefully he has a good this year this year reunited with Mike.

jake g, the East isn't weak anymore. You have Miami, Philly, Toronto, Boston, Orlando, Cleveland, Detroit, Milwaukee, Washington, Atlanta, then you have Chicago who can make a huge trade that will make them playoff contenders.  You gotta win atleast 44 games to get into the playoffs now.

And the Knicks, not this year. Still gotta get a athletic center
