Question:

With no increase in temperatures over the last 10 years, do you believe global warming is over?

With all the data showing that there has been no warming over the last 10 years even though co2 levels have increased, do you believe that co2 isn't a contributor to global warming as once thought in the 1990's?

Do you believe that global warming is over?

Do you believe the growing number of top scientist who are now saying that the climate temperature has peaked, and now we will be entering into a cooling phase of the Earth?

  1. your premise is wrong.

  2. When the GW cult determines the optimum temperature for the Earth--- and also points out where the thermostat setting is located to attain that temperature --- I would rather them to keep their hands off the "supposed" SWITCH!

If the current cooling trend continues for another ten years -- what will be the response from the consensus crowd?

  3. Not according to the believers.  If the temperature is going down, they just superimpose a 5 year moving average or a 10 year moving average and pull up a few years short before the moving averages start going down.  The use whatever looks best - they are trying to make AGW look real here, not doing legitimate science.

Most climate scientists (including James Hansen) have stopped talking about global temperatures and are talking about other indicators instead which they assert are much more accurate.  Obviously any indicator that shows global temperatures going down must be innacurate.

  4. You're looking at short term data--one month, in fact. By similar logic you could dispute the theory (which is based off long-term averages) with a single day's weather patterns.

Yeah, it was cooler in January. You can't extrapolate any legitimate predictions, though, until next year's January comes around so we can compare temperatures and see if the temperature continues to decline.

  5. Global warming is NOT over. CO2 is not the only greenhouse gas. Even if temperature hasn't changed doesn't mean that we won't peak soon.

  6. Every single temperature record shows a positive trend for the past decade. Last time you asked this question, I even took the data that you provided to support your point and showed you that the trend for it was positive.

Why on Earth are you going around telling people something you know isn't true?

  7. No. Global warming is manifested in various ways where temp is one. The others are irregular seaonal and climatic changes, changes in water levels in water resources, fertility of solis and yield of aggriculture produce, behavioural changes of animal kingdom and lastly health aspects of human beings.

  8. It's just not  that temperatures are declining. Here's a little tidbit that might shed some light. The EPA released the(GHG) emission records on the 16th of April, based on (GWP). We've also had a 1.5%  decrease in 2006  for CO2 levels. Lower then the 2003 records. Now for the good stuff, guess what this was attributed to?...yep, weather. And weather is an attribute of climate....so GW, could be said to lower CO2 emissions? ...indirectly/directly? "I wish they would make up their minds." I can follow logic and science but when they hop from one side of the fence to the other. It shows me they don't really have a clue.

To answer your question they will never get around the sun and black body concept. The conotations behind GW is extremly misleading and leaves no room for natural dynamics.

  9. Did GW ever really start?

Let's see how many thinkers are out there?

What would be the approximate temperature of Earth Without the SUN?

Wouldn't it be approximately Absolute Zero? = Absolute Zero = -459 degree F:

    http://www.pa.msu.edu/sciencet/ask_st/01...

Now take the approximate average temperature of Earth - About  50 degrees - Right?

    Isn't that an approximate 500 degree swing? ? ?

If the Sun's other emissions including Electromagnetic and Ultra Violet ETC. - increases heat only 1/2 percent .

Wouldn't that more than create the temperature difference that has been recorded for about the last 100+ years?

Great point Heretic - Do you have any other web sites for data on this?

With oceans beginning to cool - we might expect CO2 levels to drop.

  10. GLOBAL WARMING IS A FALSE THEORY.

mann you need to educate yourself......

  11. No, it's not over.  It's inevitable.

Our orbit around the sun is slowly shrinking, and I'm not referring to the elliptical variations of distance.  The entire thing is inching in.  The sun is also getting larger.

The cycles of the Earth's climate have a multitude of natural planetary and extraplanetary causes, but warming is inexorable and continuous, even during the cooler cycles.

  12. Wouldn't it be nice if we could make global warming vanish just by saying the planet's temperature has stopped increasing?

I appreciate your optimism, although I find it extremely naive.

  13. Well seeing as the Earth's temperature has never been constant who knows it may go up soon on even down. We really can't predict what the planet will have in stored for us.
