With oil prices being what they are nowadays?

will more people start moving back to the core cities once again,allowing suburbia to be depopulated in time. Could that in turn free up potential farmland as well?,To feed more people again?

  1. Like 7 said, it will HOPEFULLY result in more people moving closer to their places of business, instead of having a 30-60-120 mile or more commute in some lifted truck, a broke Astrovan, or their psuedo-race car. That would wipe out traffic jams, lots of smog, and the lessened draw on fuel would cause gas prices to drop significantly.


  2. Something will be done about it.  Some inventor is right now probably working on some solution that will make him 400000000000 billion dollars and make the arabbbbs very very sad.

  3. paved land will never be returned to farming, it just doesn't happen.

  4. not likely. Civil war is the more likely path.

  5. No, there is nothing in the core of the cities to draw them. What industries are left here have also moved away from the core area. People may try to relocate nearer their work but that would not lead to the core areas of large cities.
