With over population hurting the world, why are we feeding the poor?

If you want to cut a lot of that CO2 footprint, imagine how nice earth would love us if we cut the population by a few billion of the beggars and riff raff.

The poor breed less than the rich.  The poor have 2, or 3, kids per family, on average.  The rich-Kennedys, Duponts, etc-have many children, grandchildren, etc....14 here, 9 there, etc.

Its not like they CHOSE to be born. And they definitely didnt CHOOSE to be poor and hungry. Actually, america is a selfish, overfed country. We definitely eat more than we need to. If we could just ration properly then maybe we'd be able to make the poor and hungry, less hungry.

What is scary is this:  as China gets wealthier, its people will continue to demand more consumer goods, even cars.  Right now, a new car called the Nano made its debut in India.  Price tag:  $2,500.

Imagine millions of new drivers in places like India, Pakistan, China, etc.

Remember, these "third world" countries are exempt from treaties like the Kyoto Protocol.  They can pollute all they want.

Sure, the world could breathe easier (literally) without so many billions of poor people, but unless a huge natural disaster strikes (like the black plague, which killed off over a third of Europe's population back in the 1300s.) , that is unlikely to happen.

The only chance is for these countries to follow China's lead, and start taking measures to limit their populations.

Hopefully to alleviate suffering.  Starving is a very painful experience that REALLY hurts, because the body begins to eat its own self from inside when one is starving!

However, you have a good point.  Perhaps to give our troops targets to practice on?  I know that was not funny, but it is really quite true.  Look how many times our nation has overthrown the tiny Haitian government the past one-hundred years! Our government needs to have someone to provide targets for "bayonet practice" the way the Japanese did to the Chinese in the 1930s, which is what happened in Iraq.

But I think the true evidence is in the way world commerce works.  Even the poor make money for the corporations, as when donations are made to the poor, those donatons are funded by SOMEBODY and there are transportation and distribution profits to be made in handling those donations.  For instance, if you donate a box-full of gym warmup pants to a homeless shelter so the homeless have leg-warmers, then those have to be paid for by SOMEBODY, or at least becomes a tax deduction for a business somewhere.  Then, more gym-warmup pants must be manufactured to replace those that were just donated!  So, donating food is the same way as the great "cheese give-away" of the 1980s.  What you give away must be replaced.

But you point out a major flaw in human existence: ONLY EUROPE HAS A NEGATIVE POPULATION CHANGE!  Every other continent including AntArctica has way too much human population, and nobody is doing anything about it!

We need education to promote VOLUNTARY responsible birth control!  And any country that refuses should be penalized in some way, perhaps in a trade and finance embargo or something, but then, keep in mind, if we penalize a country, we are also penalizing (causing suffering to) the lowest class of people in that country!
