  1. LOL sounds like a good idea.  But no, you put the child in the corner - if you choose a corner.  Anywhere near you should be fine (doesnt have to be a corner) and just do it for a few mins. They say the minutes should match the age: 2 year olds get 2 mins etc. and remember to thank the child for doing it.  However, you also need to look at what the underlying need is for the unacceptable behaviour.  He/She just may need more quality time with you which will diminish the behaviour you don't like or there could be a need for more sleep or as simple as this sounds: food/water.  Good luck.
