  1. There is no such thing as "All-American" anymore. Everything is global, from international ownership / stock holders to complex product origins. The raw materials and components that a company uses may come from twenty different nations, shipped by twenty other different nations in packaging designed by a company in another nation that is owned by who knows who. The machines that are used to manufacture something in the U.S., for example, are manufactured in other nations, even the parts within those machines coming from multiple national origins typically owned by multiple national entities. Up to 84% (federally legal max) of the land in many U.S. counties are owned now by foreign interests and Bush has leased out most of our ports and roads to foreign interests, many to be turned into toll roads, such as the huge new highway to be built from Mexico through the middle of the U.S. up into Canada, the lease for which is held by a company owned by King Carlos of Spain, with highway maintenance contracts for it having been won by Mexican interests with a huge chunk of Kansas set aside for their staging area.  Many so-called "foreign" companies are actually owned by so-called American consortiums of some kind that are actually invested internationally. For example, many of the "evil" companies that were in trouble recently in China for inferior products were actually either owned by Americans / British or followed specs for American "listed" company's orders. Whatever profits a delusionally perceived "All-American" company, profits globally.  America's not even in the steel business anymore and China's buying up U.S. lumber industries.  The land / oil leases in the county I'm from in Colorado is one of those maxed-out 84% land ownership counties, belonging to China.

  2. Does Aldi count as American Goods?

  3. I'm still paying the Canadian price at bookstores like Chapters. Why? Our dollar is doing better, it makes no sense!

Why should I have to pay $17.95 for Tucker Max's "I Hope They Serve Beer in h**l" when Americans are still paying $12.95? It makes no sense to me.

I'm not making a mad dash to the border to do any shopping, not yet at least. I was actually thinking about getting some real estate. I heard it was getting pretty cheap down there. Watch out for us Canadians, we can afford to be your neighbors, and pretty soon we will be. Mua ha ha ha
