Are you still going on summer vacation?

We are.We leave Sunday going [yes, driving] to Myrtle Beach [From Alabama]. I made the reservations back in April or May,not knowing gas would be THIS high but still knowing it would be up.

I do think I wont be spending as much. Our room has a kitchenette,so we'll buy some food and eat there some. Its gonna be hard not to wanna shop though...lol

I hope I dont come home with to many credit card charges *eek*

  1. I'm flying to Florida on July 26.

  2. yes...my car gets excellent mileage

  3. I haven't had summer vacation in years.

But I do know gas prices are gonna go down within the next two years.

If not, move to Venezuela. 15 cents a gallon. Honestly.

  4. I am, but I'm flying (much cheaper for me, but I'm single).  I'm offsetting my vacay by car pooling and brown bagging it at lunch.

  5. I hear they are changing the shape of cars to make them more aerodynamic, this increases gas mileage by something crazy like 60%. and yes im flying to texas! ;]

  6. yes...we leave tomorrow to Virginia Beach (from Indiana) we're driving.....this will be my first vacation ever....so excited!

  7. 1. How much gas per litre in the States by the by the way? Here is about RM2.70 (not even a dollar), everyone is complaining.

    2. It doesn't make a difference to me, I don't cook using gas and I don't own a car.

The only thing that make the difference with petrol hike everything else go up too. I am still going for my yearly vacation, instead of two weeks, I have to be happy with only a week.  You too have fun

  8. Actually, I'm moving a thousand miles away to Corpus Christi, Texas from Missouri, so I'll definitely be spending a lot on gas, haha.. :)

  9. yes we went camping =] oh well, gas is still cheaper than food...lol

  10. yeah im going to Cape Cod (from Connecticut) with my friend

  11. I think our trip is canceled, but gas isn't the only factor involved in the cancelation of the vacation. Our water heater is going out, my dad's work might be going on strike, gas prices are disgusting, my brother's room is gutted and needs everything put back in from the framework up, and the vacation we were planning on taking isn't going to be as restful as it first appeared. The family we were going to visit keeps scheduling us so it appears we'll be running in circles all trip.

But that was probably more than you wanted to hear. ^.^

  12. Yes, soak yourself in the bathtub at home next to a candle light, with complete tranquility for 4 hours- total cost $2.

    The experience - priceless.

  13. wut the h**l do u mean
