  1. Well, believe it or not, there already are palm trees in the southwestern part of Ireland. The Gulf Stream has warmed the area for years. Irish weather is mild enough for palm trees to grow year-round at the Great Southern Hotel in Parknasilla, Co. Kerry, and other places on the Ring.  And the relatives that we have corresponded with over there in that area have said that they rarely see snow!

  2. If summer 2005 was anything to go on then there are big chances that more and more tourists will come to Ireland. We could see high rise apartments along the beaches of Wexford yet. I reckon it will happen eventually.

  3. no ireland and britain will be one of the few ntiona that will cool down! it has to do with mexican current warming are summers. and the global ice caps melting and cooling this warm current as it reaches ireland and uk. so we are preety much fuced!

  4. Apparently global warming will stop the gulf stream and it will get colder here... so no.

  5. Nah. I think the isle of white could be the hot summer destination for the pasty white brit. SEE YA ON ZE BEACH.

  6. Well it's certainly got the house prices for it! Just waiting for the sun, but I doubt it in our lifetimes somehow.

  7. No, a riviera in Ireland is not in your future.

If predictions are correct for global warming, Ireland and most of Europe will be much colder than they are now, perhaps even in an ice age.

If the ice continues to melt at the poles, the amount of fresh water added to the sea will change the currents. The warm water that is brought from the equator that helps to keep Ireland's coast mild, will stop, and Ireland will be more like Iceland.

    leaving my motor running.

  9. I couldn't tell you, it would be great though I used to love going there every year only it was either raining or drizzly think I'll go this year though it's a long time to not go to such a beautiful country. Where my family are from is on the west coast near one of the best beaches I,ve ever seen.
