News reports say about 3 months!

There gotta be some good guards or wing players not yet signed who could help fill in the gap.

Gary Payton, Jay Williams, Robert Pack, Dana Barros

  1. I think it's too late in the offseason to find any proven talent. If it would have happened a month ago, they could have picked up Earl Boykins, but he's playing in Italy this season. None of the guys you mentioned would be of much help, unless you want to hire Gary Payton as an assistant coach.

  2. payton is retired but he's is from the bay area... that would be interesting, but i doubt he needs the money or the headache of playing with a non-guaranteed play-off team.

jay williams... i'm guessing you mean the one from duke and not jason williams who signed with the clippers. jay williams had an horrible motorcycle accident and basically destroyed his chance at an nba career. he's made multiple comebacks only to be cut every time from the teams he's worked out with.

both robert pack and dana barros have been out of the league for at least 6 years. i don't think thats going to happen. maybe they can do a sign and trade with chicago for ben gordon (though gordon is NOT a point guard) or a trade to get kirk hinrich.

from what i've read though, chris mullin GM of the warriors has said he is ready to start the season with marcus williams who they acquired from new jersey. he believes he's a pass first point guard which will give the other warriors more shots.

  3. NO one else.

  4. Kirk Hinrich.

  5. I don't know who they could sign, but I think the Warriors are going to be screwed this year. I think they were a mediocre team at best with Monta, now they are going to by simply awful until he gets back, barring any unforeseen trades or acquisitions. I seriously think Andris Biedrins is their second best player now. That's sad.

  6. no need to sign any players..

if you think about it the season doesnt start for another 2 months, so ellis is only technically missing the first month of the season

in the meantime, marcus willliams will fill in just fine

  7. none of those players are even worth signing.  jay williams struggled coming back from an injury and couldnt make it on a roster.

  8. Shaun Livingston
