I hear that people are driving less and driving slower to conserve fuel. Has anyone seen any evidence of this?

  1. Yes they are, you are talking to one right now.


  2. Yes, driving styles have changed in the UK with slower motorway speeds and more people using public transport.  Over 60's now get free travel (april this year) so less traffic.  Most cars speeding past are now mostly company car drivers who don't pay for fuel.

  3. the only thing that will slow those suv driving soccer moms down is when there credit cards wont max out and they cant get gas!!

  4. No, I still get passed by prats who are exceeding the speed limits by 10's of MPH.

  7. Yes, on California highways, people are going slower than usual.  I used to go 80 mph, but I stay at 70 or below.  Some people even go below 65.
