  1. they say that the stadium is a state of art

im pretty sure they will play there

  2. I doubt it.  The new stadium will be open to the weather and the NFL won't play a Super Bowl in a cold weather city if the stadium isn't or can't be closed.

I remember "The Ice Bowl" as a kid and we all saw the Packers/Giants playoff game last year. There is too much money involved now to expose the players, fans, Janet Jackson's boob and high-rollers to harsh and unpredictable weather.  They played Super Bowls at the Metrodome and Ford Field, but only because those Northern cities had domed stadiums.

P.S. Do you remember the Dec. 31, 1988 "Fog Bowl" playoff game between the Bears and the Eagles in Chicago?  For most of the game, the visibility was 10-20 yards.  There is no way that the NFL would broadcast its showcase event to the world under those kinds of conditions.

  3. I hope Not, Why soil the rest of the NFL with the S****y Chumpness of the NY Giants.

  4. No the NFL won't play the Super Bowl in a cold environment.  Thats why Chicago, NYC, Buffalo, Boston, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Seattle, Washington, Philly, Tennessee, San Fransisco, Oakland, and Kansas City have never hosted one.

The NFL doesn't care if the stadium is in the city or a suburb.  Just that its indoors or in a warm climate.  They considered giving NYC or Washington a Super Bowl after 9/11 but then decided its too cold.  The only people who can afford tickets to the game are rich, just go to be seen, and wont sit in the cold.  Real fans would but cant afford it.

  5. No.

  6. I'd say there is a descent chance that they might.  Granted, the weather would be cold and the attendees would have to sit out in the cold, but you have to remember that the stadium is near NYC.  And it will be the biggest stadium in the NFL with two NFL teams.  That is a descent amount of pull.  Indianapolis just landed the 2012 Superbowl and it is a cold weather city, but as the one person mentioned it has a dome and so does Detroit that hosted it.  And in order for Indy to get it, they proposed creating an area with tons of heaters to keep the people warm as they walked around the Superbowl area around the stadium and downtown.  Indy went pretty much all out.  I think NYC could too, but the only big negative is that the stadium itself is open to the weather.  One big positive though is that it will hold a lot of people.  That helped Dallas get the nod in 2011.
