Ted Stevens indicted on charges of accepting gifts.

Sarah Palin is under investigation ( with no hard evidence other then a man being fired ) about her ex brother-in-law.

Frankly I am not surprised this got no coverage at all from the media.

The case against Jefferson became notorious after it was disclosed that the congressman, according to the indictment, accepted $100,000 in marked bills from an investor in a fledgling digital technology firm. The indictment said Jefferson told the investor, who had agreed to cooperate with the FBI, that the money would gain him access to the Nigerian market. The FBI later reported finding $90,000 of the marked bills wrapped in foil and “concealed inside various frozen food containers” in a freezer in Jefferson’s home.

Smoooth

[Rep. William J.] Jefferson [(D-La.)]

Democrat and it doesn't get covered.

Any suspicion there?

  1. you  need to get you facts right.  It was on the news 6 o'clock news.  It was all started over her firring a state trooper.  Who was probably a crooked cop.  And she is like Obama.  She wants to stop corruption in America.  She doesn't just say it.  She does it.

  2. Getting mad at Ted Stevens is like getting mad at a hurricane.  I know we name them to make this feasible, but really it's futile.  He's a force of nature, equally as merciless and apathetic.  A creature of survival in its purest form.

  3. She did not abuse her power, it is within the Governors power to police the state police. This is more liberal politics as usual.

The state cop that did not get fired drank beer in his patrol car and tased his stepson. Why didn't the guy who was fired, fire the state cop who should have been fired?

She took on the corrupt republican establishment in her state and won. She has an 80% approval record. I think she is just what McCain needed to complete this reform ticket.

  4. It seems to be a Jefferson family trait

  5. The reason it received very little coverage is because she cleaned house in Alaska... she even goes after corrupt people in her own party.

  6. There has been a good deal of coverage of the Jefferson case.  There was far more about Stevens because Jefferson is a relatively obscure member of the House, while Stevens is the most senior member of the Senate.  Also because Stevens has been indicted while Jefferson hasn't.  ( I don't understand why there's still not a Jefferson indictment; it seems like there's plenty of evidence.)

The Palin scandal received no real coverage outside Alaska until today. Given her current prominence, some discussion of it is almost certain, although I was surprised that most of the media accounts of her I saw today didn't mention it at all.

OF course, the premise of your question is (yawn) liberal bias.  Here's a question for you:  if the media is out to get Republicans, why has there been almo9st zero discussion this year of the Keating Five scandal in which John McCain was implicated?  Why has there been even less discussion of the documented fact that Cindy McCain, a multimillionaire, stole drugs from a charity she helped create to feed her own habit?
