It's good when we are winning, its better when we lose... (politically) it reinforces stereotypes, promotes fear, and it forces Americans to react. But why did it start, why does it persist? Retaliation? When does that solve anything? It seems like the war is used to change our focus away from the other matters at heart... Take Katrina... It is still REALLY REALLY messed up over there... are we talking about it? Is it a major political topic? It seems that the lives of some 2500 troops to be sent home, is worth more than the millions of affected lives there... Did we send our troops away just to have something else to talk about? So that we could have a bigger defense budget, which siphons our money away? What do we get when we "Win" this war? I can't wait for someone to take the responsibility of being that hero?
