I have eliminated the following trips completely

1) I feel like a pint of ice cream so Im going to go get a pint at the store - food cravings

2) I feel like a coffee so Im going to go get a coffee - drink cravings.

3) I feel like just going for a drive - those days are long gone.

What have you cut out?

  1. I've cut out going out to eat a lot...saves $$

  2. I've had to stop visiting my best buddy so much that lives 230 miles away. I used to go up there every weekend, now it's once every other weekend or once a month. I no longer go to Starbucks and I don't eat as much, etc..

  3. Almost the same as you.....

    No more starbucks coffee runs

No more fast food runs if they are just down the street, i walk it.

No more driving for fun or speeding on the freeway. I used to love taking a nice drive on the back roads to relax and see the nice views, can't do that any more when its costing me $5 a gallon (premium fuel) to fill up!

  4. We have tried to consolidate our driving, shopping, drug store, dining out and even to the car wash, all in one trip. Wife drives to and from work 4 days a week, straight shot, no side trips! Full tank lasts 2 weeks for $50. @ 3.99.9 a gal.

  5. None. Gas prices are completely normal, when you factor in inflation.

    Go look it up.

There's plenty of websites with charts showing the cost of gas versus today's money. And gas prices are perfectly normal.

So, no reason to change my driving at all.

Edit: For those too lazy to look it up:

    Like I said; perfectly normal.

  6. I drive a Corolla so I haven't cut anything out.
