  1. thats the thickness of the neoprene measure in millimeters the 3 is the thickness of usually the torso area and the 2 is the arms and legs this is so the arms and legs can move more freely

the higher number is usually the torso area but you can also have a5/4/3 which is 5mm thick torso with 4mm legs and 3 mm arms

  2. I can answer this question for you since I've been a certified scuba diver for over 28 yrs. You may have the terms a little mixed up but wetesuits are always measured in how thick they are.

In other words they are measured in millimeters or what they call "mill" which is short for millimeters which is the thickness of the suit using the metric system.

The higher the number, the more thick the wetsuit is & divers are interested in this since some dives are done in very cold water & require the thickess wetsuit for warmth. The thickest wetsuit can go as high as 7-8 mill.

3/2 is 1 and 1/2 mill thick & 4/3 is 1 and 1/3 mill thick. These are not very thick wetsuits & wouldn't do much good for scuba diving except in warmer water such as the Florida Keys & the Caribbean.

I think the wetsuit thickness that you're referring to are the ones used by surfers, windsurfers & waverunners. A lot of people doing these sports where a very thin wetsuit like the ones you mentioned. Some even water ski in these thin wetsuits. HAVE FUN!!!
